Can I Afford Cocaine Rehab? Get the Facts from Archstone Recovery

“I need rehab for my cocaine addiction! Where can I get cocaine rehab? Can I afford cocaine rehab? Will my insurance cover cocaine rehab?”

At Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches, we hear a lot of questions—and many of them sound like this. Does this sound like you? The fact is, it takes a lot of time and money to hit rock bottom when you have a cocaine addiction. Many coke addicts, whether they prefer powder cocaine or crack, function normally for a long time before their addictions spiral out of control. And particularly with powder cocaine, cocaine addiction is expensive. Addicts find themselves selling their positions, selling sex, or stealing just to get the next fix.

When you finally do hit rock bottom, you can’t fall any further. Maybe you’ve done the worst thing you’ve ever done in your life; maybe your family or friends have organized an intervention to convince you to go to rehab; maybe you’ve been arrested or gotten in trouble and realized you can’t keep living your life as a slave to coke. Whatever your reasons, if you have insurance, you are probably covered for rehab. Your Archstone Recovery admissions specialist is training in dealing with insurance companies and will take your information and do all of the footwork for you, then inform you of any out-of-pocket costs. You might be surprised at how little you pay out of pocket, if anything. Your admissions specialist can also help you arrange plane tickets or other travel arrangements from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), or anywhere in the United States.

Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches is a state-of-the-art, fully accredited drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. Archstone Recovery’s holistic approach treats every patient as a full human being worth of respect, not just a cocaine addiction. Archstone Recovery’s team of addiction specialists, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, uses proven twelve-step methodology as well as other techniques to help you learn how you can get clean and stay clean after you leave. With programs including residential, transitional, partial hospitalization, and extended care options, Archstone Recovery is sure to have a cocaine addiction recovery program that works for you.

Will My Insurance Cover Outpatient Quit Smoking Programs?

“I need help to quit smoking cigarettes. Can I get outpatient smoking rehab? Will my insurance pay for outpatient treatment to help me quit smoking?”

If you’re a smoker, your doctor has probably already told you that tobacco smoking causes a whole range of health problems—everything from lung cancer to diabetes to emphysema to heart disease. Quitting smoking is the single best thing you can do for your health! And your health insurance company knows that. If you quit smoking, your lifetime health care costs will go way, way down. That’s why most health insurance providers gladly cover smoking cessation programs to help you recover from nicotine addiction and quit smoking cigarettes—they’d much rather pay for an outpatient stop-smoking program today than for chemotherapy and hospitalization years down the line.

But not all programs to help you quit smoking are the same. Most smokers quit many times before they finally quit for good, and in the intervening years they do terrible damage to their bodies. The least effective method is quitting “cold turkey”—trying to just stop smoking without any help. This method simply doesn’t acknowledge how difficult it is to quit smoking, and without support it’s easy to slip back into familiar habits. Quitting with the support of friends and family is better, but it still lacks a systematic approach or any kind of medical support. Nicotine gum or patches are more effective, as are support groups, but these, too, fail to address the overarching problems at the root of your nicotine addiction.

That’s why the best way to quit smoking is the outpatient nicotine addiction recovery program at Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches. Archstone Recovery is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility located in Lantana, Florida, convenient to the Miami-Dade area and the Palm Beaches. You might not think of smoking when you think of rehab, but our outpatient programs make it easy to get the treatment and support you need while still maintaining your normal work or school life. With therapy, medical treatment, and a variety of tools and techniques you can keep using your whole life, Archstone Recovery’s nicotine addiction program will help you quit smoking and stay tobacco-free—for good this time. To learn more, contact Archstone Recovery today!

Am I Addicted to Mushrooms? Get Back to Reality with Archstone Recovery

“What are mushrooms?”

“Can I get addicted to mushrooms?”

“Where can I get help for mushroom addiction?”

Looking for answers about shrooms? “Magic mushrooms,” or mushrooms that contain the chemical psilocybin, have been used by indigenous Americans for thousands of years. There are more than 90 species of mushrooms with psychedelic effects. They became popular as a street drug among the general public during the psychedelic era of the 1960s and 1970s, as experimenting with LSD and other hallucinogens became more common. Users take a small dose by eating raw mushrooms or brewing dried mushrooms into a foul-tasting tea. A mushroom trips can last from one to three hours and usually involves intense hallucinations. The user’s tolerance increases after a mushroom trip and higher doses will be needed to induce the same effect for at least twenty-four hours afterward.

Although “shrooms” are not physically addictive—they do not make the body dependent on them to function—they can cause psychological addiction in some users. Users who have underlying mental health issues often find that using hallucinogenic drugs can serve as a “crutch,” a way to avoid reality, and in this situation you may find yourself slipping into addiction—using mushrooms too much, using them to cope with stress, stealing or doing things you wouldn’t normally do to get more of the drug, and so on. Many people who have a problem with mushrooms are also addicted to a physically addictive drug such as alcohol, marijuana, or cocaine.

If you need help coping with mushroom addiction, Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches can help. Archstone Recovery is a top-rated, state-of-the-art drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility located in sunny Lantana, Florida. Archstone Recovery’s accredited addiction recovery programs, including residential, transitional, partial hospitalization, and extended care options, draw mushroom addicts from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), and all over the United States. Archstone Recovery’s holistic approach treats you as a person, not just an addiction—and Archstone Recovery’s dedicated staff of addiction specialists will give you the tools you need to break free of your addiction to mushrooms. If you’re ready for a new take on life, contact Archstone Recovery today.

Where Is the Best Heroin Rehab Program for Women?

Ask most people to picture a heroin addict and they’ll likely think of Jim Morrison or Kurt Cobain. But heroin addicts aren’t all white, male rock stars—they are rich and poor, from every ethnic background and gender identity. But methadone clinics and other programs often aren’t safe spaces for women. So many women find themselves asking: “Where can I find a heroin rehab program for women? How can I get clean in a safe environment? What are my options as a female heroin addict?”

It’s also especially important to get help if you are pregnant. Heroin addiction during pregnancy can be extremely dangerous to both mother and fetus. If you carry your pregnancy to term, your baby may be born addicted; both fetuses and newborn babies can die from the symptoms of withdrawal. The sooner you get medical attention, the better your chances of maintaining your own health and having a healthy baby.

If you’re a woman addicted to heroin, Archstone Recovery can help. Archstone Recovery of the Palm Beaches is a full-service, accredited drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Lantana, Florida. It offers comprehensive heroin rehab in a safe and secure environment that honors women and treats all patients as full people deserving of respect. At Archstone you’ll be physically safe and able to focus on healing and recovery, with the full attention of a team of medical experts, therapists, and addiction specialists as well as a supportive peer group. With a range of programs, including residential, partial hospitalization, outpatient, transitional care, and extended care, Archstone is sure to have an option that will work for you. That’s why heroin addicts from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), and all over the United States come to Archstone Recovery for the best heroin rehabilitation treatment available for women. Are you ready to rebuild your life? Contact Archstone Recovery today.

How Can I Get Treatment for Ecstasy Addiction?

“I didn’t even think it was possible, but… am I addicted to Ecstasy?”

“How can I get help for Ecstasy addiction?”

“What’s the best Ecstasy rehab program?”

Although you don’t hear much about ecstasy addiction in the news, there are lots of young people asking questions like these. Doing E can put your health at risk, particularly for dehydration, as well as compromising your personal safety, especially if you’re at clubs. It’s a myth that ecstasy (MDMA) isn’t addictive. In fact, approximately 43 percent of regular users become chemically dependent on (addicted to) Ecstasy. Physical addiction means that your body can’t function without ecstasy—so when you try to quit using ecstasy, things start going haywire: you get sick, you undergo muscle and bone pain, you shake and get paranoid and can’t sleep. It’s hard and unpleasant—and it can even be dangerous.

That’s why it’s important to have help when you quit using ecstasy. Breaking an addiction is serious—it isn’t something you should try to do on your own, any more than you would deliver your own baby or pull your own teeth. You need professional help. If you can’t stop using ecstasy and you want to quit, it’s time to consider an accredited drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility like Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches. The fact is, rehab works.

When you fly in from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), or anywhere in the United States to Palm Beach International Airport, you’ll be made to welcome right away at Archstone Recovery’s beautiful Lantana, Florida, campus. Archstone Recovery’s outdoor pool and reflection pond offer a serene and safe environment to reflect as you go through the top-quality medical treatment, therapy, and support offered by our range of programs, including residential, partial hospitalization, outpatient, transitional care, and extended care programs. Our proven twelve-step approach offers you the tools and ideas you’ll need to not only get clean, but to stay sober after you’ve left rehab. Archstone Recovery offers real answers. Are you ready to quit using ecstasy? Contact Archstone Recovery today.

REALITY: Weed can be addictive. It’s not as addictive as many other drugs, like heroin, OxyContin, or even alcohol, but a small percentage of pot smokers do become addictive—and marijuana addiction can be just as devastating as other kinds of addiction.

MYTH: Pot makes you do crazy things.

REALITY: Don’t believe everything you see on TV—marijuana won’t make you violent and it doesn’t cause hallucinations. What it does do is to loosen your inhibitions, similar to alcohol, so that you might not have the same boundaries. A word of warning, though: marijuana is often treated with other chemicals, such as embalming fluid or PCP, and if you unknowingly smoke it, you will feel the more severe and dangerous effects of those drugs.

MYTH: Because pot is “natural,” it isn’t harmful.

REALITY: Marijuana can be used to treat some medical conditions with great results. However, that doesn’t mean that it does not have side effects like any other drug. Almost all drugs are derived from plants one way or another—being “natural” has nothing to do with how they affect your body. Just like painkillers, sedatives, and anesthetics, drugs with legitimate medical uses can also be abused, leading to addiction.

If you want to stop smoking weed but you can’t, you may need rehabilitation treatment for marijuana addiction. Archstone Recovery, a top-rated, accredited drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Lantana, Florida, has a range of treatment options that can help you, ranging from residential and partial hospitalization programs to outpatient, transitional care, and extended care programs. Pot users from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), and all over the United States travel to Palm Beach International Airport to experience Archstone Recovery’s unique holistic approach to addiction treatment and rehabilitation. If you’re ready to put down the bong and reclaim your life, get in touch with Archstone Recovery today.

What Is Detox? Learn How Alcohol Rehab Can Help You

“I think I’m an alcoholic. How can I get help? I’ve heard about detox programs, but what is detox? Is detox part of rehab? What can I expect?”

The team of admissions specialists at Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches hears questions like these every day from people in New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), and all over the country who want to know how to get started with alcohol rehab.

Alcohol addiction, or alcoholism, is an extremely widespread addiction, and it can be very difficult to treat. Many people start by attending Alcoholics Anonymous or other group meetings. These groups can be very important in providing moral support and in helping addicts to stay sober, but they do not provide medical treatment or therapy. They work best when incorporated into a long-term individual recovery plan that also includes treatment at an accredited drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility like Archstone Recovery. A rehab center can help you get through withdrawal, the difficult period when you stop taking a drug on which your body has become dependent. When you enter rehab, your doctor may tell you that you need “detox”—detoxification treatment—especially if you still have alcohol in your system. Detox is a process in which you stop drinking and are treated with drugs that help to counteract the effects of withdrawal.

When you arrive at Archstone Recovery’s beautiful Lantana, Florida, campus, your recovery team will talk to you and create an individual treatment plan that includes therapy, medical care, support groups, and a twelve-step program, as well as incorporating other spiritual or creative elements that you find helpful. This holistic approach means that you are always treated as a full person at Archstone Recovery, not just an addiction. Archstone Recovery offers a range of treatment options, including residential, partial hospitalization, outpatient, transitional care, and extended care programs, so there is sure to be an Archstone Recovery option that works for you. Are you ready to get help? Contact Archstone Recovery today.

Need Help Quitting Pot? Outpatient Marijuana Rehab in Florida

“Am I smoking too much pot? How I can quit marijuana?”

Are you addicted to weed? Many people mistakenly believe that it’s not possible to get addicted to pot. Because marijuana addiction happens at a lower rate than cocaine or heroin addiction, many people assume that it’s a myth. But many people do get addicted to marijuana, and they need help. Marijuana addiction is especially harmful in teenagers, where it can slow or prevent proper adolescent brain development. In adults, marijuana addiction can lead to health effects including asthma, emphysema, and difficulty with sexual functioning, can worsen depression and other mental illnesses, and can lead to job loss, driving accidents, and other negative fallout.

Because the effects of marijuana withdrawal can be less dramatic than those of hard narcotic drugs, it is possible to quit marijuana without entering a full-time residential program, if you are unable to take time away from your job. However, it is very important to undergo marijuana addiction rehabilitation under the supervision of a medical expert—it is very difficult to successfully quit smoking weed without professional help.

If you need help to quit smoking pot in Florida, the outpatient marijuana rehab program at Archstone Recovery Center of the Palm Beaches may be just the solution you’re looking for. Archstone Recovery, a state-of-the-art drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Lantana, Florida, convenient to the Palm Beaches, treats patients from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, and all over the United States, and welcomes patients from Florida (FL) for inpatient and outpatient treatment for addiction recovery. With detox, partial hospitalization, outpatient, transitional care, and extended care programs, Archstone Recovery is sure to have a program that works for you. Archstone Recovery creates a personalized treatment plan for each individual, and uses a mix of medical treatment, therapy, group support, and other modalities to provide holistic care that treats you as a whole person. If you’re ready to stop smoking pot with an outpatient marijuana rehab program in Florida (FL), contact Archstone Recovery today.

“I Think I’m Addicted to Roofies”: Catelyn’s Story

Catelyn (not her real name) was a straight-A sorority sister who loved to dance. She had always enjoyed going out dancing with her friends—but it wasn’t until her new boyfriend took her out that she discovered club drugs. Ecstasy, GHB, acid—she tried it all and loved the way time seemed to bend around her. It was just her and her boyfriend and the music. Catelyn was hesitant about trying Rohypnol at first—her sorority sisters had warned her about the “date rape drug,” but she didn’t know you could also take it for fun. “I felt so far away from my body,” she says, “and I’ve always struggled with my weight, so I didn’t like my body very much. It was a good place to be.” She found herself coming back for more a few days later. Soon she broke up with her boyfriend—and started dating his dealer. She stopped caring about her grades, and starting doing roofies as much as she could. After a bad incident at a frat party, her friends held an intervention and told Catelyn she needed to go to rehab or she would be kicked out of the sorority.

“I didn’t realize I was addicted,” said Catelyn, but when she thought about it all the signs were there. She couldn’t even function without Rohypnol—but she couldn’t function with it, either. Catelyn was furious that her friends had called her parents, but she agreed to try rehab. Her parents called Archstone Recovery and spoke to a warm, knowledgeable admissions specialist who took care of all of the insurance paperwork. Soon Catelyn was on a plane from New Jersey (NJ) to Palm Beach International Airport to Archstone Recovery in Lantana, Florida (FL). (Archstone Recovery clients come from New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Washington DC, New England, Florida (FL), and all over the United States.)

Catelyn started the detox program at Archstone Recovery and then began a residential program. She attended individual and group therapy, doctor’s appointments, and even art therapy classes. She sat by the pool and wrote in her journal. She met other students who were battling addiction. She learned why she had become addicted to Rohypnol and gained tools and techniques to help her stay sober once she returned to school. Catelyn describes rehab as “the best thing that ever happened to me. I don’t need roofies to live anymore.” Catelyn has now been sober for over a year; she asked Archstone Recovery to share her story because she wants to encourage others like her to recognize their addictions and get help. If you’re ready to ask for help for Rohypnol or other drug or alcohol addictions, it’s time to contact Archstone Recovery.
